Blackbaud Receives 2023 NSPA Keystone Award for Advancing the Scholarship Community
The National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) has recognized Blackbaud with their 2023 Keystone Award in their Awards of Excellence program. The NSPA Awards of Excellence acknowledge and celebrate organizations and individuals contributing to student success and advancements in the scholarship industry. The Keystone Award recognizes a partner company or consultant engaged in the sale of products or services to members of NSPA that has made especially outstanding contributions to the advancement of the scholarship community.
As a leading software provider for educational institutions, Blackbaud has revolutionized scholarship management. One university leveraging Blackbaud to support scholarship management is California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), which serves nearly 40,000 students annually, 76% of whom receive some form of financial aid. Blackbaud Award Management™ empowered their team to bring all available scholarship awards into one centralized location and provided administrators key insights to help match students with scholarships. “Prior to implementing Blackbaud software, we did not have the tools and data to manage our scholarship funds effectively, and thousands of dollars went unused,” said Oliver Mamangun, Assistant Director of University Scholarships at CSULB. “Since implementation, our fund utilization has been close to 100%, allowing us to award more than $11 million in scholarships and grants each academic year.”
Blackbaud Award Management streamlines scholarship management for higher education. This platform helps:
- Expand access to scholarships, providing unique recommendations to students highlighting available scholarships and awards for which they qualify.
- Streamline the review process, giving stakeholders one central location where protected student data can be shared and reviewed.
- Engage with donors through one unified database for donor profiles, data, and reporting.
“We have an unwavering commitment to higher education, not just as software providers, but as partners dedicated to helping drive impact for students,” said Mark Davis, Vice President, Head of Education Products, Blackbaud. “Blackbaud Award Management helps our customers save time, increase fund utilization, improve donor relations, and ensure that funds are used effectively so these institutions can enhance financial transparency and enroll more students. We’re honored to receive this recognition from NSPA.”
