Welcome to Blackbaud University Rewards! We believe learning should be fun—and you deserve to be rewarded for your hard work. With that in mind, we’re excited to announce you’ll now earn BlackbaudU Points & Coins for completing courses and attaining certifications.

Earn BlackbaudU Points that show off how many courses you’ve aced and certifications you’ve earned. Your points also put you in the running for contests and leaderboards. Be sure to check out all available courses so you can keep on accruing points—and become an expert in your Blackbaud solution!

What’s the difference between BlackbaudU Points and BlackbaudU Coins?

  • BlackbaudU Points & Coins are earned at the same rate, per class or certification.

  • BlackbaudU Points are awarded for courses you’ve taken and certifications you’ve earned. Points are permanently recorded on your transcript and put you in the running for contests and leaderboards.

  • BlackbaudU Coins are earned at the same rate as Points but can be used to redeem merchandise in the Rewards Shop. You may spend or save your BlackbaudU Coins at your discretion.

How many BlackbaudU Points & Coins can I earn for each available course or certification?

  • 100 BlackbaudU Points & Coins:

    • Fundamentals level courses

    • Organizational Best Practices courses / Essentials Learning Path

    • Blackbaud’s education management portfolio for K–12 courses / Core Learning Path

  • 120 BlackbaudU Points & Coins:

    • Advanced level courses that require Fundamentals certification as a prerequisite

    • Organizational Best Practices courses in the Marketing and Fundraising categories

    • Blackbaud’s education management portfolio for K–12 courses / non–Core curriculum

  • 150 BlackbaudU Points & Coins:

    • Fundamentals level certifications

    • Organizational Best Practices certifications in Marketing and Fundraising

    • K–12 certification in Core

  • 200 BlackbaudU Points & Coins:

    • Professional level certifications

Note: Self-paced eLearning Basics courses are currently not eligible for BlackbaudU Points or BlackbaudU Coins.

What are BlackbaudU Points?

BlackbaudU Points are earned when you take instructor-led and self-paced eLearning courses (with the exception of Basics eLearning courses). Points are awarded for all Fundamentals, Organizational Best Practices Essentials, K–12 Core, and advanced level courses. Points accumulate as you take more courses. Points track your overall curriculum/training progress and put you in the running for contests and leaderboards. You also earn Points when you pass a Certification Exam and become Blackbaud Certified®.

What are BlackbaudU Coins?

BlackbaudU Coins are earned when you take instructor-led and self-paced eLearning courses (with the exception of Basics eLearning courses). Coins are awarded for all Fundamentals, Organizational Best Practices Essentials, K–12 Core, and advanced level courses. You also earn coins when you pass a Certification Exam and become Blackbaud Certified®. BlackbaudU Coins can be redeemed for swag in the Rewards Shop! Use or save your BlackbaudU Coins at your discretion.

What can I get with my BlackbaudU Coins?

The Rewards Shop is full of fun swag merchandise. And we continually update the available selection.

How do I access the Rewards Shop to redeem my BlackbaudU Coins?

When you have enough BlackbaudU Coins to redeem an item from the Rewards Shop:

  1. Log in to BlackbaudU Campus.

  2. Click on the Rewards icon (the trophy icon) in the top-right corner of the screen.

  3. Select Rewards Shop in the sidebar.

  4. Select the item you wish to redeem.

  5. Click the Redeem button.

  6. Confirm your order.

  7. You’ll receive an email from Blackbaud University with instructions to provide shipping information for your item.

What is a Course Completion badge?

Course Completion badges are earned whenever a course is completed or a certification exam is passed. You can see a history of the badges, along with the BlackbaudU Points you’ve earned, on the My Badges and Points page in BlackbaudU Campus.

When I earn a badge can I share it with my network?

Yes, we encourage you to share your Blackbaud Certified® status. When you click on a certification badge from the My Badges and Points page in BlackbaudU Campus you can share your accomplishment on LinkedIn or Facebook. Or copy the link to share in any other communications!

How can I track my Rewards Shop order?

You can check the status of your Blackbaud University Rewards redemption in our Rewards Shop.

Can I get BlackbaudU Points & Coins for a class or certification I completed in the past?

We started awarding BlackbaudU Points and BlackbaudU Coins on July 18, 2022. BlackbaudU Points and/or BlackbaudU Coins cannot be awarded for courses completed before this date.

Terms and Conditions

  • Points & Coins are associated to your Blackbaud ID used with BlackbaudU Campus

  • Points & Coins are non-transferable and cannot be applied to other programs

  • Points & Coins do not hold cash value

  • Coins may only be redeemed at the BlackbaudU Rewards Shop

  • Coins do not expire

  • The number of Points and Coins awarded for each class are subject to change

  • Blackbaud employees, partners, or vendors may not redeem Coins for physical items

  • There is no expectation of availability of items at BlackbaudU Rewards Shop

    • Items may not be restocked

    • The store may close at any time for any reason

    • Items may change in value at any time for any reason

    • Every effort will be made to accurately reflect item availability at time of redemption; if necessary, a substitute item may be awarded
